CDB - HUD und main menu Contest!

Wir starten heute einen kleinen Contest für euch:

Hey everyone, Today I’m having a contest for your guys. But first off I’d like to thank ea-ct for providing those awesome prizes!

We’re launching this contest the give everyone, a chance to contribute to our mod! The contest is about designing a concept for our HUD and/or main menu.
Of course here we don’t await a highly polished wonderful looking peace of concept art here. This is because we want to reward the best ideas and not only the person with the best drawing skills. (Obviously a good looking peace of art is a plus compared to a concept done in paint )

Contest Assignments:
HUD
We’re trying to create a minimalistic HUD, so we probably won’t use a health/stamina bar, mini-map and a display of the currently selected weapon (you’re having the weapon in your hands anyway…). But since it’s hard to create something innovative on such small place and we don’t just want to copy existing minimalistic HUDs we need your help to create this last small but important part of our HUD.

Suggested HUD contents:
• Bullet/Mag count
• Currently selected grenade and grenade count
• Current fire mode (semi/full auto, grenade or rocket)

Main Menu
We’d like to show something innovative and new in the menu, but we didn’t yet have that awesome idea we need for it. So if you’re having some really nice ideas for our main menu in mind this is for you!

Menu Points we need are:
• New Game
• Load Game
• Settings
• Credits
• Exit

How exactly this stuff looks is up to you!

Submission:
Submission starts today!
Submission ends with the release of the Crysis 2 PC demo we all are waiting for! (I hope Crytek doesn’t take up too much time with this)

You can submit your entre via contest@codename-deadbird.com or by creating a WIP thread for it. Make sure to include contact data (preferably MSN, Skype or ICQ) so we can contact you.


Prizes:
We’re currently having the following stuff in our prize pool, but we might get some more stuff and therefore we haven’t yet decided which winners get which package.

2x Crysis keyholder
1x Crysis cardigan
2x Crysis Mousepad
1x Crysis Cap
1x Crysis lanyard

Disclaimer
If you take part in the contest you agree that Dark Dust Studio is allowed to use your work in the Codename: Dead Bird modification.
If your work will be used in the mod, you will be mentioned in the credit. (If you do not wish to be listed, you have to clarify this before. By default every work will be credited)
The Contest submission will start on 6 of February and will end at the day the Crysis 2 PC Demo is being released. Send in your work to contest@codename-deadbird.com . If your work is bigger than 8mb, please notify us before and you will get a place where can upload the work.
Be sure to mention at least one address where we can reach you. Email-Address, ICQ number, Skype- or MSN- address. And it is recommend to add a nickname/name for crediting.

Also, die Beta/Demo kommt am Dienstag den 1. März raus, das heißt bis dahin sollten eure Einsendungen bei uns eingegangen sein, damit ihr einen unserer tollen Preise gewinnen könnt.
